About BWC

The Brooklyn Wellness Club (BWC) is a Black woman-founded wellness, creativity, and entrepreneurship hub located at 704 Dekalb Avenue in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn. We are not a gym. We are not a coworking space. We are an ecosystem — built for practitioners, founders, and creatives who want to do serious work inside a serious community. We offer retreats for organizations and schools, co-ownership membership for established practitioners, weekly classes and events, and a full event space for rent.
We are at 704 Dekalb Avenue, Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn NY 11216. The studio is open for scheduled classes, events, and by-appointment visits Monday through Sunday. Hours vary by programming — check our schedule page or Arketa for current class times.
BWC is for anyone who believes that wellness, creativity, and entrepreneurship belong together — and belong to everyone. We center Black women, practitioners, founders, creatives, and community. Whether you want to drop into a class, build a practice, bring your team for a retreat, or host your next gathering — there is a place for you here.
Follow us on Instagram @brooklynwellnessclub and TikTok for events, announcements, and community updates. You can also reach us directly at community@thebrooklynwellnessclub.com or text us at 347-514-9464.

Attending BWC

BWC hosts a rotating schedule of wellness and community experiences including yoga, pilates, Curvy Yogalates, mindfulness, sound baths, journaling circles, and creative wellness workshops. We also host community events like our Black Women Resting Open House series, meet-ups, and pop-ups. Many classes are led by Paris Alexandra and BWC Collective members. See the full schedule on Arketa.
All classes are pre-booked through our Arketa booking page. Walk-ins are welcome when space is available, but we recommend reserving your spot in advance — especially for our popular weekend classes and special events.
We have 15 yoga mats available at the studio. You are always welcome to bring your own. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in. For sound baths and restorative classes, we recommend layers — you may want to be cozy on the floor.
Absolutely. We believe wellness belongs to everyone — regardless of fitness level, body size, or experience. Our classes are designed to be accessible and affirming. Modifications are always offered, and no one will ever feel out of place here.
The BWC Open House is a free monthly gathering held on a Monday, once per month. Each month has its own theme — so every gathering has a distinct focus, energy, and intention. It's a chance to come experience the space, connect with the community, meet BWC Collective members, and learn about what's happening at BWC. No commitment required — just show up. Follow our Instagram for the monthly theme and date.

Co-ownership membership

The BWC Collective is a co-ownership membership model for established practitioners, therapists, coaches, facilitators, and creatives who are ready to build their practice from a real home base. Members operate independent businesses while contributing to — and benefiting from — a shared ecosystem of support, visibility, and momentum. It is not just studio access. It is community, accountability, and a home.
Membership is $997/month with a 6-month commitment. This includes studio access for your classes and sessions, visibility on the BWC platform, inclusion in community marketing and programming, participation in collective accountability structures, and access to the broader BWC network and events. Think of it less as a rental — and more as building your work inside a living, breathing ecosystem.
The Collective is designed for established practitioners who are already doing the work and are ready for a proper home base. This includes yoga teachers, therapists, licensed social workers, coaches, energy healers, facilitators, movement practitioners, and creative entrepreneurs. If you are still early in your practice and building toward this, we encourage you to attend classes and community events first — the Collective will be here when you're ready.
Applications are open on a rolling basis with limited spots available. Visit our Apply page to submit your application. If you want to talk it through first, book a free discovery call — we'd love to hear about your work and vision.
Yes. The Collective is intentionally kept small so that every member receives real support and real visibility — not just a desk in a crowded room. We maintain 6–10 members at a time. When spots open, we notify our waitlist first. Apply early to be considered for the next cohort.

Bringing your people

We design and facilitate three types of retreats:
  • Corporate Retreats — half-day and full-day wellness experiences for teams and organizations, focused on stress reduction, creative thinking, and embodied leadership
  • School Retreats — yoga, mindfulness, and SEL programming for students and educators; Title I eligible; DOE and CUNY Vendor certified
  • Community Retreats — immersive experiences for nonprofits, sororities, community organizations, and affinity groups
All retreats are fully customized and facilitated by our certified team. We come to you, or you come to us.
We recommend reaching out at least one month in advance to allow time for planning, customization, and logistics. That said, we will always do our best to accommodate your timeline — so even if your window is shorter, reach out and we'll make it work.
Yes. The Brooklyn Wellness Club is a certified NYC Department of Education (DOE) vendor and CUNY vendor. We are also MWBE certified. This means schools and public institutions can work with us through their existing procurement processes. Contact us at corporate@thebrooklynwellnessclub.com for vendor credentials and scope-of-work documentation.
The easiest first step is to book a free discovery call. We'll talk through your group's needs, timeline, and goals, and build a custom proposal from there. You can also email us directly at corporate@thebrooklynwellnessclub.com.
