Community gathering at The Brooklyn Wellness Club

The Brooklyn Wellness Club · Est. 2023

Help Keep One of Brooklyn's Only
Black Woman-Owned Creative Wellness Clubs.

We’re raising $25,000 now to protect and expand BWC — a Black woman-owned home for wellness, creativity, entrepreneurship, and community care in Bed-Stuy.

“This is not just a wellness space. It is proof that Black women deserve rooms built around our rest, creativity, leadership, and joy.”
— Paris Alexandra, Founder

$300 raised Goal: $25,000

This campaign supports BWC directly while we build toward our nonprofit arm. Contributions are not currently tax-deductible.

We exist because representation in wellness is not enough. We need spaces where Black women are not the exception, but the entire room.

1Rare Space to Protect
The Problem

NYC is losing the spaces that hold us.

In a city where rent and operating costs make independent spaces harder to sustain, BWC is working to remain a permanent home for care, creativity, and Black women’s leadership. When spaces like this disappear, communities lose more than square footage. They lose programming, relationships, trust, and belonging.

What We’re Building

A creative wellness home.

  • Weekly programming for Black women
  • Space for entrepreneurs and practitioners
  • Retreats, workshops, and community experiences
  • A future nonprofit arm for access and scholarships
Your Impact

Your gift keeps the room open.

  • $35 brings someone into the room
  • $250 supports a private community experience
  • $1,500 helps fund deeper retreat work
  • $5,000 helps anchor the next chapter
Why Give Now

This is a time-sensitive campaign to stabilize BWC, protect a rare Black woman-owned space, and turn viral support into long-term community infrastructure.

Why This Matters

Rare spaces are
worth protecting.

Across New York City, independent community spaces are closing under the weight of rising costs. When one goes, it takes years of trust and relationships with it.

BWC has spent over a decade proving what's possible when wellness, creativity, and entrepreneurship have a real home. This campaign is about making sure that home can keep growing.
